I'm assuming you mean a pre49 flathead with the bell cast with the block? For post 48's, the trans should bolt up.

Hi Guys-

I have a 5 spd for my '55 Customline and was wanting to stick the '55 3spd o/d trans behind a flathead. Anyone know if this is doable??????????????

I've seen adapters to mate early (up to '53 trannys) to y blocks but don't believe I've ever seen an adapter to mount a trans from a y block to a flathead motor.

As always, any help is much appreciated.

Best to the Y guys.

Missouri Mike

I'd rather be lucky than good.................

    but good ain't bad!!
