I am using the GM 3 wire on mine and I did like Doug, bent the front bracket and fabed a rear angle for the hole in the front of the head, works great. By the way Doug, I like that color combination, looks great!

Here is what I did, note the FoMoCo alternator.
Get a piece of 1/4" Thick 1" bar stock. Bend the bar in an L shape and drill for the swing bolt piloted by the rear bracket which you cut from the existing bar. Weld the piece of the existing bar to the 1/4" thick bar. Then extend the Stock triangular brace that bolts to the water pump by cutting off the end with the hole and splicing in another piece of the existing bar. You also need to rebend the triangle as the bracket end is quite a bit forward from the stock position. The pivot bolt happens to be a Y block head bolt! Finally reshape the locking arm so that it goes on the back of the bolt boss of the alternator. This has worked fine for me for several years not just the date shown. Tomorrow I will measure from the center of the bolt in the head to the front surface of the L and post that info. The Voltage regulator goes where the stock one went and the whole thing looks pretty stock.
