i wanna wash my motor with a pressure washer i know i need to cover the carb and distributor what else should i cover b4 i start washing

I always washed engines with them running. Just have to be careful where the water and how much goes. Keep it away from carb ,make sure dizzy wires are secure, and then go for it.

ok imma go to a car wash place they have a pressure washer that mixes a degreser with it ill keep the truck running would it matter if the coil gets wet or the voltage regulator

i would consider that technical u gotta make sure u dont wet something thats not suppose to be wet motor saftey

I have used griots engine cleaner with tremendous results; much better than foamy engine bright, etc.. Use a soft brush, soak this stuff on there, and no need for a pressure washer....at least in my experience....

Hey 57-- I use Simple Green and soft brush. Does not srain and will remove the dirt and grease build up. Also will not ectch. Cover Dist. and carb top and use hose with nozzle. My 2 cents God Bless Eddie

If you wash with the engine running, keep the water away from the fan - otherwise you will have a big mess all over the car.

I'd be careful with the pressure washer around where the road draft tube connected in the valley cover, those are not exactly air tight, i can imagine water getting in the crankcase from there, especially with a pressure washer.
