Between your first post and your last I'm not sure what is going on. You mention shop could change you to elec choke but might be hard to start. SO WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO IT?

Then you mention that right now with the manual choke if you use it the truck won't start. SO WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO FIX?

IT'S HARD TO FIX SOMETHING THAT AIN'T BROKE

well on my truck the little screw that holds the choke in place is not right it dosent tighten the line it just turn in the little hole

That sounds easy enought to fix...I love the manual choke...once you get the feel for your set-up, it's the best. I even run a manual choke on my 500" Caddy powered '60 F-100.

The tri-power on my T-bird is also currently getting rebuilt, and the auto chokes are getting canned...

Another vote for manual...

I like the manual choke on my old truck, makes me feel more in control.  Seriously it's a mater of preference, if you don't like pulling the knob out get an electric choke.  Wink
