Paul, nothing like that F code Y block! Very nice, to say the least. Unfortunately I am not running a VR57, but a VS57 - the setup is a little bit different looking. Was the photo about the bonnet by chance? Dan

Chuck, any luck on the pulley? I am in the middle of raising a pole barn next to my house and the site work has got my free time a little occupied right now...but, is there any chance I could get those NAPA part numbers for the belt you spoke of? Frank, I will send you a PM about the bonnet... Jessup

Dan, The bonnet will work. If you run a late Holley, you'll have to rotate it to one side or the other to miss the float bowl. No big deal. If Chuck has or can find a pulley for the 1/2" belt. grab it! That would be less expensive that a modified version of mine. I'd make a lousy used car salesman wouldn't I ?

Well, I will have to talk to Frank about the bonnet. About the pulley...knowing my situation down here, I would much rather trust you and/or Frank than the cobblers. What does it take to get a pulley machined? I can honestly say that I have never had that done.

Frank, right now there are not too many machine shops I trust in our area. About 1 hour away there might be, though. I will have to consider purchasing one of the pulleys that need to be machined. Would only the wide belt groove need to be machined, or would this also include the mounting holes, etc.? Chuck was reminding me about your bonnets, but if memory serves, you let me know a while back that the bonnets were VR57 material and had a larger opening than the VS57?

Dan, I still have a few crank pulleys for 3/8 belts (2) I also have some as cast that you can machine for the wide flat belt.
