I've just pulled the engine from my T-bird to replace the flex plate and looking in the bulge of the bellhousing air duct I can see a V shaped sprung tab that seems to contact with the torque converter. My first thought was it was something that had somehow dropped in as it doesn't look to serve any purpose, but it appears attached. Any info would be appreciated.
