Every now and then, someone asks a question about "HEI" type distributors (Pertronix, MSD, Ford DUI etc)

I found a guy that modifies distributors (  http://www.davessmallbodyheis.com/  ) and I cannot remember if this guy was included in the discussion.

Evidently he'll take a late model Y vac/mech advance distributor and using HEI "stuff", make a distributor similar to what has been done by someone else here for about $200. It uses a small cap and an outboard coil so there's no "fit" problems and it presumably looks "stock".

Has anyone tried this guy?
