I am planning on going down to Datonia beach to the Turkey run swap meet.Just wondering if anyone that has went to can give me any advice on decent motels in the area that wont cost me an arm and a leg.i would like to have some money left over to buy parts that i really dont need.   Carl     Ohio

Carl ,  Been there many times ,,  Cheapest places i found to stay are  , some of the older motels dawn at the beach ,  what they used to call ...south daytona beach shores.......juat have to  check prices !!   The motels close to the race track are  expensive ,  but  much more handy  ....also be careful where you park ,  because they will tow your car away !!!   there is a mall across the street ,    do not park in the back row where you would be out of the way ,   they WATCH  ... and your car will be gone .......if you park closer to the building ,  and walk inside , i think there is an entrence on mthe side ,,,,,,wait a few minutes and exit from the front and walk across the street to the track....works for me.....you should be ok..........but they maybe smarter now  !!!    great show , you wont be able to see it all in two days  ..........Luck...Sam           Wast central  florida

Carl ,   Atlantic  Ave , is A1A  ,  along the beach ,,  north is north of Main street ,   try some hotels  south of Main St  ,  if you want alower price !!.............Sam

I will be staying at a house in Port Orange which is a little south of the track,they hang out at the Bellaire plaza each night after the show closes and its on A1A.
