On the cover of Y Block Mag 2009 (I saw a pic of it on the H.A.M.B) theres a Y with what looks like a beautiful alloy finned sump? Can anyone tell the story of those? Sure are eye candy...Hehe

Dutchy, without looking at cover with sump. i,m mighty sure it belongs to johns rod and kustom over here, they started to get involved with kustom car parts etc and y block items, they get them cast and are about $650.00 AUD, i could be corrected. My personal  worry with alloy sumps is one good speed bump and thats it, but sure look greeat. regards bill.

Bill ,

You are true and correct about John's Rod & Custom . I sent Bob Martin the photo .I spoke to Luke ( Johns son ) about all the stuff they are going to make .Seems to be going to happen ,but slowly ?? They were working on an alloy C4 bellhousing last year .Still had to R & D the flexplate ,starter ,etc . I wish they would update their web page . It's about 5 years behind .

Lon
