Hello Guys and Gals,  I have finally signed up as member of this forum, although I have been lurking for a year or so.  This has to be the best Y-block site anywhere.  The posts and replys are factual and polite.  I only own FoMoCo stuff except for my 266,000 mile 67 MGB driver.  I probably have more experience with SBF's, however the first engine that I did a valve job on was a 55 272 when I was in high school.  I think I might still have the valve grinding stick somewhere - boy have things changed!   At the moment I do not have a Y-block running but I hope to do so this year.  Now all I need to do is figure out how to do the avatar and signature stuff  -Bob,  Moorpark CA

Welcome, It's nice to see another new member. Y-block owners seem to be different than any other engine owners out there and there seem to be less of us, but anyway. Welcome aboard.BigGrin

Y-Guy Bobwanna         Welcome, anyone that can get a MG to CRANK

that many times, will not have a problem with Y-Blocks. Back

in the day, a heavy dew would stop my wife's midget from cranking

but, rain didn't seem to affect it. I spent many an hour working

and cussing that thing.... No problem with the BSA though!

Again, Welcome and jump right in!

Thanks for the warm welcome!  As soon as I finish a couple of projects I hope to change some soft plugs and fix the brakes on my 55 T-Bird and be on the road by Spring.  Whenever that is in SoCal.  I do believe that us Y-block guys are sorta eclectic as far as cars go and just love the old simple stuff.   After getting the bird on the road I plan to get my 47 Ford sedan on the road again.  Yup needs brake work.     Happy New Year to all    -Bob
