What a satisfying New Year's Eve. Today I was at our local Tractor Supply Store. Next door is a high performance engine shop, complete with dyno. They specialize in our least favorite engines. While I was in the store they were warming up an engine with open headers. When I got to my car, they were starting a dyno pull. RPM got higher, higher, higher, then BANG!! and silence. I chuckled to myself as I pulled out of the parking lot. Happy New Year to all!

Hey,I just realised that this is in the "Classifieds" section. John are you selling scrub shrapnel as paper weights ? Cant think of a better use for that junk. Oldmics

Oldmics: Yeah, I just realized it is in the wrong section. I intended for it to be in This-n-That. Must be Oldtimers. I don't know how to move it, maybe Ted can help. He's moved posts before.

Great story, John. A fitting end to one of the most over-rated engines in history. Thanks for sharing it with us. Happy New Year, Nick Brann - K.C., MO

Hey Bill, Thanks for the "blood donation" story. That's a good one. I too am grateful for this site, and the contributors. I've learned a lot and it helped me when I was building my 312. You guys down under are really fun to read about. Hope I get to meet you one of these days. Happy New Year, Nick Brann - K.C., MO
