We are a well rounded US family - 'till now had the '56 Bird, Olds 442, 02 Z28, and my Hemi pickup.
Once upon a time my wife wanted a sporty car for those "hammer down" trips (you could still do in Wyoming). Price driven - we finally got the Z because Ford wanted way too much for a GT Mustang (2002) and the 50 extra cubes pretty much sealed the deal at 6000 ft altitude.
When we moved to Arizona - I finished off the lifetime of my F-150 (165,000 with gross overloading finally did it in) and mostly out of curiosity I bought the Hemi truck. My Mrs took one drive - and took the keys. Said she was tired of being terrified by looking out the window and being "bumper high" to SUV's, trucks with Sonora plates, etc, etc. So ....I've been beating the Z28 back and forth to work (18 miles per day) for the last several years - just hit 100,000 miles - paid off the truck - and was lookin' for a car.......
Once again - she took the keys.....
