Men, this is not a promo, just a word about one of the many ways to help the most helpless in Haiti...

www.hfhcministries.org

My family is personally involved with this non-profit; wife and I went to Haiti for a week-long project in July of 09; we've seen the mission and support it with our dollars and prayers.

check out the website and decide for yourself!

thanks for your consideration!

Here in British Columbia we were able to simply log on to the Air Miles site & give up air miles in exchange for a cash donation to Haiti relief.

Our church sponsors a missionary (Wesley Lane, a 25 year veteran) down in the Dominican Republic who travels across the border to Haiti all the time to preach and establish churches in missions work. He has reported to us that the news on TV and radio is only the tip of the iceberg and that many more than have lost their lives than what was originally thought. Our school and church is sending money and supplies through him.

we heard just today that the young man that my family sponsors is among the living; my sister-in-law who is in Haiti this week on a med trip treated him for a bump on the head!

of the approx 800 kids that the organization we support, "Hope for Haiti's Children", serves, only about 100 have been located so far.

thanks to all of you who have taken the time to read this thread, and for those who have commented.

Please do what you can to assist the needy in Haiti!
