Thanks for sharing... as a collector of vintage Ford (and Ford related) signs, as well as gas pumps (petrolania), I really enjoyed seeing how they were used/displayed.

There were a couple either rare or unique Ford neons signs in some of those pics... in particular a T-Bird neon with striped end-wings.

I've never found one I could afford just yet, but have always wanted one of the cantalevered neon Mercury signs, red/white with the helmet head on it.

Thanks and kudos to the orignial poster.

Brian

What caught my eye was that many Ford dealers appeared to be a local filling station or independent garage that obtained a Ford franchise.  And this was with '60s cars on their lots.  Not that way now, many larger dealers are worried that Ford may pull the plug.  Has already happened to many gm and chrysler dealers.

Very cool pictures Lon, I can't count fast enough to keep up with the scrolling, but I did notice alot of scrubs parked in front of the Ford stores. I found a few that I am going to try to print and frame, I think the will look cool hanging in my little shop.

Glen, you can pause the scrolling and forward pictures manually if you want to look at the pictures longer. I love old pictures and what you can spot in the back ground so I studied them slowly. just move yor curser to the bottom and you should be able to control them...

Thanks for sharing the photos. I was hoping to see a photo of my 2nd cousin's Ford dealership in Ball Ground, GA during the 50's and 60's in the group, but didn't. Oh well, odds were against it.
