Questions for those with extensive tool experience: Please bear with me.

Made the mistake of mixing high speed stones with ordinary ones. Does anyone know a sure way to identify which is which?

Also, I have a stone that is damaged/grooved from grinding on a very sharp/hard steel edge. Can it be reshaped (and then used safely) by grinding on a file? Can't easily find the perfect size & shapes for chamber work, so this would be helpful (if indeed feasible).

If die grinder speed can be limited to a safe level for non-HS stones, I'm a bit unclear on the advantages of then grinding at a higher speed (aside from time)?

Thanks in advance.
