I was leafing through some old Hot Rod Magazines today, and in the Nov. 1963 issue I saw a Bonneville picture of a '63 Falcon driven by none other than Karol Miller. It said he shook up the troops with a qualifying run of 159+. They said the same thing about him when he ran his '56 back in the day. Set the '63 record at 149.997. He sure liked flirting with 150 mph.

John, Did the article mention what engine our hero was running in that Falcon?

Philo: He was running a class called E/P (E Production?), so I would assume it was a well massaged 260. In one of our correspondances, he mentioned something about a Mustang that was a disappointment, so he quit running Bonneville. I would assume that was a '65 Mustang, but he didn't say.
