I've decided to go to the NH meet. It's a day drive for me and I'll trip up early. Anyone have a Y-Block banner we could use? Chuck

New England's Vintage Thunderbird Club will be hosting the 14th annual Thunderama at Canterbury Shaker Village in Canterbury, NH. A Thunderbird Concours with "fun" judging will be held in addition to an All Makes Vehicle Show at the same time. The event will be held on June 24, 2007 on the village green of the Shaker Museum. This location is just 20 minutes north of Concord, NH which has many attractions nearby. It is also only a 45 minute drive to the NH seacoast and the Kittery malls. This will be the largest gathering of Thunderbirds in the northeast for 2007. The area will hold upwards of 250 cars. The Shaker Museum will provide 2 free tickets (a $30 value) to their museum that encompasses 634 acres with over 25 buildings to tour. The Shaker Table Restaurant, Summer Kitchen and an outdoor grill are availabe for food. I talked to the local president, Don Seymour, and he said we would be welcome. He will try to provide us with a Y-Blocks Forever parking area. My intent is to meet with other Y's guys from New England and see if we can host our own annual event up this way. Maybe New England dragway or something like that. Gotta see who will show up first! Bring all your Y-Block friends! Chuck in NH

After pushing for support for this Canterbury meet, I myself am going to have to cancel out as I have had an unfortunate accident with my merc and it is in the shop & will be there for a few weeks. My hood had come up on me doing about 55mph and it buckled in two places, and actually went off sideways and hit the passenger fender. The safety catch spring had broke. I had worked on one of the hinges knowing it was bad, but lived with it not letting anyone open the hood but myself. Now with having this work done I've decided to replace both hinges, which I've located, so it will be in the shop longer. I do feel fortunate that I was able to control the car to a stop without hitting anything. Again I am sorry I can't make it as I was definatley looking forward to it. Hopefully we can meet at another one someday. Mike

Tom, I have never been to RAVE but had heard about it. I will definatly think about it as it not that far away. I like the shows with the flea markets & tools & trinkets. Have fun at Canterbury! Mike

Chuck, Great job on the Y gathering, although I live in ME I am back in Lons neck of the woods, Aussieland. I am due home late the 23rd and I will be some jetlagged by then so I am not sure if I will make it anywhere. But we can still meet some evening drags at one of these local venues. Marv, I was thinking the same thing as Chuck, Just leave the hood home.

Looking forward to seeing you guys there sunday. I know it's far off yet, but the weather looks like it'll be good. I should roll in sometime around 10AM. Mike, I agree with these guys. Leave the hood home & go !!

Its kinda of too late at this point in time as the car is in the shop & even the fenders are coming off to change those hinges! We were really looking forward to this show as we were booked at the Margate in Laconia and I had to cancel that. Yea I probably should have held off and drove it over like it was but I guess if you can get er in the shop that quick you'd better take it. I'm doing a brake job on the 64 Gal conv so can get that back on the road-needs inspection! Hard to keep up. Also working on my boat so I can get that back in the water after some time. * note* I retired early & went into business for myself and now have less time than ever! Anyhow, Have fun at the show! NOTHIN SOUNDS LIKE A "Y"
