I think there's a difference between v-8 car and truck input shafts, you would think that would carry over to I-6'S also.

I put a NOS input shaft for a T86 for a 1956 223 next to an input shaft for a T86 for a 1956 272 and the only difference is the tooth count on the gear that runs the countershaft. Back in the 40's a Ford with a 6 and a v8 were almost 2 completely different vehicles. The bolt pattern on the transmission was totally different than a v8 box.
