I am posting this for someone who emailed me with this question after having difficulty trying to post it here himself.  By the way, he is also needs help retrieving his password from this site.  Although he is unable to post, he is capable of seeing your responses.

"I removed my front cap from the old 55 Ford for detailing.  Now I can't remember how to mount the radiator support bracket (big U thing that the radiator bolts on to).

Do the two small springs ride on top of the frame supporting the radiator bracket?  Or, are they underneath the frame keeping the radiator bracket from bouncing but allowing movement?  I don't think my car had it but I purchased a radiator support pad from Dennis Carpenter that is about one inch thick (AD-8125B).  Now I can't figure out how it would bolt on to the radiator support bracket.

Thanks for any feedback"...........Gary
