OK guys::   Have turned 70 and do not hear as good as I should, so I drive down the road with the turn signal on, because I can not hear the ticking of the flasher.  My pickup has a chime that come on after a while to remind me.  Question--  can any one write me a wiring diagram where I could put this set up in my T Bird?????   I know that we have some super sharp engineers on this site.  This thing is embarrasing.  Thank you in advance    God bless    Eddie

Ed,

You could also try another flasher. I have found some (especially NOS FoMoCo brand) do click MUCH louder than others.

Will this help you...

Any general purpose diode will do, such as a 1N4003 or 1N4001. Use 12v/low amp buzzer/chime of your choice.

Eddie:

JC Whitney used to sell an extra loud flasher, and also one that played "Love Me Tender".  My father in law bought that one, I found that one to be annoying after a while.

Check this out, http://www.turnalarm.com/.

I may try it myself as I leave the signal on on my 49 all the time.

I recently installed one from http://www.turnalarm.com/ in my 62 wagon.  It works great on the highway with wind noise, as I could not hear the stock blinker.  It is a bit annoying when stopped waiting for a signal to change in the city. (you'll end up shutting signal off at a long light)  Sounds like a scaled down back up alarm.  beep beep beep    pf
