I had a 1981 Crown Victoria cop car with a 351 windsor years ago and it came with a short version of a ph-8. Maybe you could cross reference that application.

Dan: My Chrysler minivan with a 3.8 engine used the short filter. I believe it was a Fram PH16. Also, Motorcraft FL300 is a short one.

If you need a super stubby filter, try a NAPA Gold 1335. It's the shortest I've found.

Be careful with the Frams, There were some postings and oil filter testing done and those came out at the bottom of the list with cardboard check valves that could come loose and plug up your oil flow, I believe a couple guys on here lost their engines due to them.
