On a few occasions when replying to topic and including the quoted post, i have put in message etc, hard return then picture, but when submitting reply, an error message from administrator, says to include message in box not just pic, html etc? frustrated i redid  reply but put picture in 1st, hard return, then message and it works. Is this the way it should be or is it just a glitch or something i should be doing differently? Thanks guys.

Bill.  Without seeing exactly what you’re doing, this just sounds like a glitch.  I’ve varied the text around the pictures with no obvious problems so there shouldn’t be an order issue related to this.  The problem could be related to a timeout issue and being successful the second time around was the result of just being quicker on the ‘draw’.  I’ll ask Jim when He’s down if there’s something that can be done on the ‘time outs’ that seem to be occuring.

 

On my end, I’m having a time with freeze outs but upon recording the times they happen, I’m starting to see a pattern which I hope will help to isolate exactly where or what the problem is.

Bill, I have had this problem too on many occasions and I have found the only way to fix it is to close the site walk away for a few minutes come back and try again.  This is a hard pill to swallow if you have typed a lot of text but I have had the same happen when the whole site just locks up on me, just gotta keep trying.

TIM and TED, glad its not only me, but as you say; but definitly frustrating when i had done long story and locked up or not gone through!  Lately before i hit submit button i save the text untill its gone through ok as backup. I have been having freeze ups noticibly more regularly round 9.30-10.00 pm here, if that fits into timeline, i was thinking it may have been site maintenance in your evenings. Any how its the best site and bunch of guys i,ve encountered. best regards bill.
