Hey consider that its pretty common for a 302 with good heads and a decent roller cam to make 350 to 375 horse.I have a book called "Building Ford Short Track Power",and in this book they cover a junk yard 5.0 short block with good heads and intake make between 375 and 390+ horsepower with no exotic parts or machine work.393 from a 289 is possible ,but realistically its probally a little less than that.More like 350?

Yes, I check in there about once a week.  There is a lot of good info and smart guys on the 2100/4100 series carbs.  Recently a great tip was given on an inexpensive source of Autolite jets.  Picked up 5 sets Smile .
