We will be doing a chassis dyno on the new Brick engine soon it would be good to know what you think of those Sanderson headers Ted. No pressure.

The header test is simply being delayed due to putting the aluminum cylinder head testing to the forefront. Header testing itself will be performed in conjunction with ported heads so that differences in exhausts can be more accurately evaluated. Frank. How close do the Hedman headers come to matching the two tube Reds headers? I’ve a set of two tube headers here I believe are Reds headers and best I recall they mirror the Hedman headers I tested for Bob Martin’s engine.

Ted When you refer to Hedman hedders, I have seen two different styles used on Tbirds. One is a tri-Y, where the tubes fall down and join and then those two tubes join. The second was the tubes sweeping up and back and joining together. My question is which style are you saying is not that much better than the factory cast iron manifolds or do you mean both? Thanks Pete

Thanks Pete Most references to the poor performance is to the two tube style designed for the passenger cars. The longer tube T-Bird headers from all appearances look to be much better than the stock exhaust manifolds.
