the taper sizes on the original spindle are .625 & .812, a little smaller than the specs I see in the spindle search's.

I just had to do this myself.  Could not find a machine shop that would touch reaming the granada spindles.  I bought the taper and a handle that would fit on top.  I put the taper in the Tbird spindles and marked how the taper as to how far it sat in the Tbird spindle and then turned the granada spindles by hand until I reached that point.  It was a bit of a workout but was easier than I thought it would be.

If you go to Bob Lewis site. You can get detail instruction for the install. It should answer any questions that comm up. The detail in these instructions is great. P/N's for everything you may need.

You would also do well to take a "large pin" lower ball joint with you - besides the sample older spindle. The taper on the ball joint pin needs to be fully seated in the upright - and have its threads exposed the same amount. Depending on how far into the boss you enlarge the taper - there may (or may not) be a need to put a ground flat washer under the slotted nut.

The taper on the Ford pins is a 1.50:12, which is referred to as 7° - but its a little bigger (7.153°).

I'm ready to take my Granada spindles in to have the lower one reamed. If I tool the original spindle in with me, would that be enough info for the guy reaming with 7 degree reamer? Thanx, Gary
