Just wanted to let my Y-Blockin brothers know about this event.. People from all over the country come to this every year and the last years event was phenomenal.. here is the link to more info

http://www.graffitiweekend.com/

they just added a 1/8th mile drag at the speedway last year and the downtown cruise and show&shine is absolutely amazing.. everything for anyone that loves old cars here.. I'd share some pics of previous years but they were on my old hard drive (which crashed)

I've always seen a huge showing of 55-57 T-Birds at the show and shine if that makes you any more interested (there was about ten all lined up together last year) Anyways hope some of you can make it..

I probably will make it this year, though the smaller events are more to my liking.  Definitely will be going to Myrtle Creek June 26.  This year they are having a swap meet at the same time as the show and shine.

They're having a swap meet here? I hope some out of town vendors show otherwise it's gonna be nothing but 4X4 and SBC parts everywhere Tongue.. Seriously i may have to look into that.. Might try my hand at renting a space..

Dustin, the cost for 20X20 space is $20, unless there is a car entry then it is $10.  If you want to I could register for both and you take over the swap meet booth.  I dont have much of anything I would want to take except maybe a set of pistons.  The truck isnt a very good  hauler anyway.  As far a swap meets go, for the sellers it is often a large effort for little gain.

Never forget my first swap meet in Winfield, Kansas.  Hauled a BUNCH of 42-47 leftovers, sold very little, and left after giving the booth to the guy next to me at day's end.  Too bad ebay wasnt around then.
