I was wondering what kind of horsepower/rpm a cast 292 crank will put up with?  I had been considering a steel 292 truck crankshaft but figured I'd see what kind of power you guys are making with a cast 292.

Thanks for any info.

well maybe I ought to give some info on my project...

1936 International Pickup built fairly light hopefully less than 3000 lbs.

471 Roots Blown and injected 292, have a C2AE-C Block

Look's like Ported 471 Heads ~8.0:1 compression and 8-10psi of boost.

Looking to turn ~6000 rpm

T-10 wide ratio 4 speed, and 4.10:1+ rear gears and 30" tall slicks/street tires

Mostly street but It'll definatly make it to the track a couple of time a year.

so do you think a cast crank will stand up?

Thanks

Sounds good maybe I'll give it a try... so how about the C2AE Connecting rods?  Of course they'll have good bolts installed.  I'm lookin' at 400-450 hp.

Thanks for the info,

Rex
