Can someone please tell me precisely where the replacement crankcase breather screen (and gasket) needs to go on my 272? I couldn't find any reference in my shop manual. Thanks, Ray

on the drivers side front you will see a canister.it goes in there unless you have a later block.

On the left front ahead of the oil filter.Undo the bolt that holds the "tin can" on.You might want to unbolt the whole thing from the block and give it a good clean in varsol.Check the drainback tube as they get plugged up preventing oil to drain back into the oil pan.The road draft tube is held on by 2 philips head screws accessable when you take the can off.
