I've got mine hooked to the switch side of the coil. Seems to work just fine. I checked the voltage there with the engine running and not running and it's 12V.
Doing Fords for 45 years. '56 Customline Victoria

Hi, I wired mine to the accessory post of the ignition switch so it would be "hot" when the ignition switch is in the "on" position.

Hey Earl;; Go to a keyed ignition, do not go to coil. I ran mine from the dash switch, also put a inline fuse in for safety. have a great day Good Luck and God Bless Eddie

Positive side of elec choke goes ?????? coil, ign switch or other powered on item?
