"Good intentions" notwithstanding, the wider spectrum (other brand/models) suppliers never seem to deliver quite the same level of service/expertise as Y-Block/T-Bird specific outfits.

Considering the amount of American product made to spec in China now, it's hard to believe that any reputable dealer would accept poorly made parts. I have met the guys (and gals) at Mac's and they seem to believe in what they do. Call again, kick it upstairs, and look for someone who cares! I'm sure they don't intend to sell parts that won't fit. As the cars get older and the hobby gets thinner it will be up to us to police the quality of replacement parts. Jim, Maybe we need a spot here for "parts that don't work" or "bad dealer experiences" so we could all be aware of what's going on in our hobby. Chuck in NH
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

My 1996 NAPA catalog shows the number to be 267-3123. Don't know if they still have them available.

I did not know that Bill.I found a great deal of difference in quality in these bushings anyway.I bought the bolt kit as I mentioned and it was made in China. The supplied nuts were only half as wide as the originals and I ended up buying fullsize nuts locally.

oldcarmark (5/26/2010) I bought Moog bushings for mine.I also got a set from Dennis Carpenter when I bought new mounting bolts.DC's are now made in China. There is no comparison in quality. The rubber in the Moogs is much more firm and the outer metal has serations which help keep them tight in the arm.DC's have softer rubber and smooth metal shells.I sold the DC ones on Ebay.I have not heard of a fit problem with Moog. They dont go all the way in-only as far as the raised shoulder. If I can find my Moog catalogue I will post the part #'s.Actually Carpenters have had parts made in india and offshore for years, its only since the free trade agreements world wide that the place of manufacture has to be displayed on the packaging. When i was activley involved in mechanical repair business many years back i would show supprised customers the same TRW ball joint made in 5 different countries. regards bill.

55 Courier: If you can't get what you need from Macs try Concours Parts in Nevada. Their catalog (a few yrs old) lists "A" arm bushings & some of their listings are TRW parts. Just a thought, I'm wondering why you would go the substantial labor to dismantle the suspension to replace the lowers only?

My Moog book doesn't list them anymore. They fit 54-56 Ford,Mercury, and Tee-bird.I bought mine 2 years ago so perhaps they have discontinued them from Moog directly but there must be some still around from other sources.Did you contact Macs about them because it is possible they sent the wrong ones or they are wrong item in the box.It happens.

Hello, The ones from Macs are to wide to even fit the control arm. The 2nd set ended up being upper bushings Moog K321, the 3rd set are for 62-6? but the book said they would fit 55' they are differant. Yes I know not to press them in all the way, Thanks for the input it all helps keep these old cars on the road..
