If you do a search on this site there are several samples of brackets different people have come up with.Might give you some ideas.

All you really need is a ten gauge or larger wire between the output terminal of the alternator and the positive input terminal (the one between the solenoid and battery) of the starter solenoid. I don't often see them but a large fuse or breaker in the lead is not a bad idea, could save you an electrical fire some day. Mike

I would like to swap out my generator to an alternator.

I bought one of those one wire alternator's but I'm not good at electrical.  How do I wire this up?  Metal work is my thing so I will make the necessary brackets. 

I need easy, clear instructions for dummies!BigGrin
