well i finally got to start taken my old y-block out of my 58 ford this is a 52 year old motor with a 162,000 miles on it that has never been apart before this is how clean the inside is just show reg oil changes every 3,00 miles since new. it ran fine till going up a hill on rt 81 in pa. it back fire and the temp gag went all way over and a cloud of smoke out of both tail pipes i pull over shut it off open the hood and there was smoke coming out of eveywhere there is a gasket the vavlecovers valley cover everywhere the water was gone and no reading on the dip stick i was over 150 miles away from home after 10 min i try to start it and it fired up i shut it off put 3 qts. of oil in it and 2 gals. of water (thanks to people that stopped to help}started up again it was knocking so i tryed to get closer to home (aaa free tow up to 100 miles we all should have it) she made it 96 miles from home this is the best car i ever had and i,m 63 so i had afew . got a 62 292 that will go in but i will miss old one
