That is correct. 4.27 is with overdrive transmission and 4.09 is with standard transmission with station wagons and sedan deliverys.

ok, I think I figured it out. Divide the pinion into the ring 47-11 = 4.27 gears

Hello, I have 2 Dana 44's One is from a 56 wagon and the other from a 55 wagon. The ring gear on the 56' is stamped 47-11, The 55' is stamped 45-11. Iam trying to figure out how to tell the ratio from that? Thanks, Mark
