Doctors are letting me go home today. But I am having more surgery on Oct 7th. I guess they figured I could be just as miserable at home as I am here in the hospital. I am feeling ok . NOt out of the woods yet but holding my own. I am still weak from Chemo and dazed from all the drugs and such that I have been ingesting lately. Doctors found a hole in my skull where the mass was that my brain is protruding through. They are wanting to fix that. They said the tissue was dead now and wouldn't be a problem. So,they are going to cut it off. But, I am not so sure. If I didnt need that part of my brain then why do I have it? May be just me worrying too much but... Thanks for all the prayers thoughts and kind words they were greatly appreciated. I will try to get back on the site if I am able later. Take Care Earl Dagenhart aka 55birdman .

Earl Glad to hear you are getting to go home for a while, it is always better at home. The great part about the brain is when one part is damaged other parts will take over, we don't use all of it anyway, other wise how could you explain politicians. Hope everything from here on will be easer for you. Good luck

man, i feel your pain. i was in hospital last november with pneumonia. almost on a ventilator. not fun at all. i hate morphine. i got hooked up to a pump that sucked fluid outta my lung for couple days.
hang in there!
if i had a hole in my skull i'd tell the docs to use some "stop leak" or JB weld once they're done. sometimes car related humor helped me out when i was down.
This ain't no L-Kamino!

Praise God! He's listening to his children on this site, and answering their prayers.

Earl, on Thursday, I drove down I40 west bound from Winston headed over to Nashville, TN and of course thought about you for a little bit. Glad to hear things are coming along and I am truly sorry that the situation did not work out so that I could see you face to face and get the chance to visit awhile. We will continue to pray for you...don't sale any of those parts nor that Tbird just yet!!! Looks to me like you are going to be given some more time here on this earth. Dan

That would be nice but, with no insurance I have a massive bill on the horizon to face. Have to sell it. No other way.
