There's three low mileage 56's on Ebay. One is gorgeous 56 Fairlane sedan. Another's a hardtop.

i was looking at them yesterday.nice cars.i was looking at y parts as well.i love some of the sellers on there.one was for a set of lifters,original and still in the box.no picture.the add stated 8 of each.8 for the intake and 8 for exhaust.the exhaust being thicker.my guess is he had 8 early and 8 late cast lifters.

By coincidence, local TV station ran Andy Griffith episode from '66 today, where aunt Bea buys a cherry '55 black Sunliner for $295. Money actually was about right for rural S. Carolina, as '66 would have been when prices bottomed/turned around.



P.S. Never noticed before (saw episode several times over the years), but that car had skinny WWs on the rear, and wide ones on front.
