Should be fine.Its a better quality one than the one you lost.

  

went to parts store and got a new pushrod to replace lost one/ new one is a lot large around/ cup end is the same size but ball end is a lot larger then old one /my ? is will the new pushrod  ball end fit into the tappet like it should or is it just going to jump out?
