Is anybody using an ECG-6 for the center carb on a three deuce set up? If so, how did you set up the linkage? Does anybody make a longer throttle shaft for the ECG? It has larger throttle plates and a wider base. I'm trying to figure out how to use one and convert it to an electric choke. Any ideas or experience?? Thanks. edit: I think I found the longer shafts at Vintage Speed.

I use an EGC-6 on my set-up. Linkage is set-up progressive so end carbs come in about 2/3 throttle. I get alot of my carb stuff from Vintage Speed also. People say the guy's cranky to deal with but I haven't had any problems. Another source for 94 parts is "dickster27" over on the H.A.M.B.

Thanks lowrider for your response. I have progressive linkage I plan to use on this set up. I talked to Charlie at Vintage Speed and ordered the throttle shaft and he seems ok to me. We chatted for a while about cars and life in general. I also got some "float valves" from Daytona Parts to replace the needle and seats. Looks like a pretty neat investment with todays gas.

Butch, what are these "float valves" you mentioned. I went on Daytona Parts web site but didn't see any information on them. I would sure like to get rid of my regular needle & seat set-up. Thanks, Dan

lowrider, Kinda hard to describe but they are similar to the needle and seat. They use a brass seat with a larger valve than the needle and are not supposed to be affected by the alcohol in todays gas. Looks like a pretty neat deal. If you give them a call, talk to Regina. I think they were $6 each. Great folks to deal with.

You actually talked to him????? You gotta be one of the select few. He usually never answers his emails or the phone.

Called the number listed on his website and he answered the phone. Seems like a very personable guy.

You're sure one of the few. I alot of guys over on the H.A.M.B. have absolutely no use for him. I've always ordered my parts online from him so I haven't had the need to try to talk to him.

Maybe he was just having a good day, but he was pleasant when I called. I am sort of hard of hearing, so I may have not understood exactly what he was saying.
