I plan to leave Manchester, New Hampshire on the 1st of September. Is anyone up this way heading out around the same time? I'm trailering my Chrysler roadster again this year and will pick up my new engine from Ted while I'm there. Anybody in Maine, Mass, New York or PA that wants to hook up along the way. I usually go out I80 from around Harrisburg. I take the Mass pike and I84 to Harrisburg and then across I80 (so I can make a stop at Summit). Chuck in NH

Chuck, If the roadster didn't have a mystery motor, you could drive it, not having to tow it every where you go. Tom

True! Main thing is no top and I wouldn't quite trust it for that long a trip. Soon I'll have my Vicky back on the road. At least for next year! Chuck

Chuck, You know the door is open here if you want to stop by. Although if you do the summit stop you really dont need a rest when you get to my place. Let me know, Kevin

Thanks Kevin, You know I usually don't spend much time at Summit. TOO tempting for my pocket. Let me see who else I hear from and I'll let you know. Chuck

I am planning on leaving around the same time on wednesday the 1st if my brother can get the day off or out early enough. The Maine-iacs from Maine. Booked in super 8 heath for thursday night, don't know about other nights as things in the area appear fully booked so probably staying at the track.

Billy, What time do you plan to leave Maine? I'm not exactly an early riser and probably won't get on the road until 10AM or so. Are you driving or towing? Chuck in Manchester, NH

We plan to tow if we can get a trailer ready, borrowed an enclosed one from nephew but it turned out too heavy a trailer after rigging it all up for my car. Now borrowed one from brother in law and it needs a lot of work, lights, brakes and get the brakes working, spent the day on it, should shoot it black before leaving also, maybe doo that tomorrow. My brother has to work Wednesday so may end up leaving late, he works on the railroad and some days he escapes early and others he has to stay till 10pm or more, it all depends. If I was going alone I would have left in the morning sometime, but it looks like we may be driving most of wednesday night.

Call me at 603-232-6672 as soon as you know. How will you be going? Down the coast or across Maine? I usually drive to about 7pm on the first day and finish the trip the next morning. Got to old for the Banzai runs. We could also stop in Akron and take a look at Kevins shop and truck collection. Love to travel togather. Maybe I've got one more Banzai trip in me! Chuck in NH

More than likely down 95 to 495 thrugh Worchester mass and then from there who knows, could go 84 through Conneticut or go up to Albany and across NY. Last time I went through the adirondacks but I wasn't towing then. I will call as soon as my brother lets me know he is out of work and on the way, I will put your number in my phone now so I have it. I would like to get to the Super 8 in Heath early Thursday evening, get some good sleep and get to the track early friday. Then from there who knows, would like to camp at the track as the hotels around the area were booked for the following days.
