I was ofered a Flex-a-Lite 1017 for free, and got it. The guy was changing the 302 that was on the car (a Maverick) by a crate Windsor he bought from the USA. I think it's a 351 stroker, or something like that, never mind to ask too much about it. he's going with a Griffin rad, and electric fan. The old engine is being sold, and he gave me that almost new fan.

My car's fan is the factory one, chrome plated. It has 7 blades, and no clutch. The 1017 can be instaled without changing anything. I'm in doubt about it.

Anyone with some experience with this kind of fan? If it's a little better than the stock one I would use it, since it's a lot lighter, and has the same diameter (17").
