Thanks Mark, IS there problems with the buckle being on the outside [ door side when done up]? I'm just asking as it's oposite to all modern cars... Or am I thinkin' about it too much

I'm with OLDCARMARK on this. Buckle to the inside as this with prevent paint, buckle and tin damage if the buckle happens to fall off while on the outside. Yes, today's cars have the buckle on the outside, but they are retractable so they do not usually fall out.
If you are putting in retractables, then you can have the buckle to the outside.
Unless you have had the rear pans replaced, there should be spots where the seat belts should go. Remember, this is the first year of Ford's safety interior.
