I think I've got the correct forum for these tech questions: I have a '56 Club Sedan that I drive a lot and I am beginning to research the possibility of installing an a/c system, and electric windows for the front only. I know there are several suppliers out there, but I would like to hear from anyone who has done this conversion and learn about any suggestions for suppliers, etc. Many thanks, Ron

The benefit of this manufacturer is that they make a unit specifically for the 55-56 and use the factory heater controls and they guarantee the fit.
A friend of mine recently purchased a great kit which used the existing arms and mounted a switch behind the original window winder. Not sure who the supplier was though. They work great. It was one of the vintage/classic suppliers out of the States.
Maybe someone will chip in with a supplier.

Rick--Thanks for that input. The electric window kit your friend installed, the one that uses the original window cranks, is the one I've been looking around for. If you happen to talk to your friend anytime soon could you get the info on this for me and either post it here or pm me with the particulars? It would be much appreciated. Thanks, Ron

Ron, I caught up with my mate today. The units he used were from www.nu-relics.com. There units are not necessarily the cheapest but the options they offer will suit any application. They supply all new arms, runners, rollers, etc and can even provide switches which will fit onto the existing winder handles. Top quality stuff.
