        run, with conventional oil, and let US know the results. It doesn't have to be

        Amsoil, but a well known synthetic. I'm curious to know the power gain,if any,

        and engine temp, oil and water.

Bill.  There are no plans to do a back to back oil test but the EMC engine is going back on the dyno with Amsoil 10W-40 full synthetic in the pan.  It was tested previously here at the shop with 20W-50 Valvoline Racing oil whereas it was run with Amsoil at the EMC competition.  Although I am going to be doing some changes to the engine once it’s up and running, I’ll be making some baseline runs with the same tuneup and parts that were in place with the exception being Amsoil 10W-40 in the crankcase instead of the Valvoline 20W-50 oil.  While I am looking specifically for the differences in oil pressure between the two oils,  changes in power output may also be quantified depending upon similarities in air quality between the two different test sessions.  The differences in oil viscosity is also another player so even if the power output improves with the Amsoil 10W-40 over the Valvoline 20W-50, this change in output could be just as attributable to the reduction in viscosity as much as being conventional versus synthetic.  First though is just simply generate the data and then evaluate the differences afterwards.
