Since the other thread is getting kind of long I am going to start a new one just for the update, I will put new pics and such on the 1st of this thread.



Heres a couple of things I've done so far.



Oil catch can for the PCV system, last time I check it, it sucked a lot of oil into the intake so I thought this might help. especially when the Turbo is in, the PCV hose will moved from the base of the carb to the compressor inlet of the turbo, I dont want oil to gum up the compressor wheel.









The discoloration is from me weld/braze/solder a baffle inside the can, this can is cheaply made ebay item, it cost about 40 dollor including ship, its half assly machined, leaked right out of the box I had to fix it on flat surface with sand paper, lapping it for an hour, and sealed it up with ultra black RTV, the design is without a baffle, just a box with 2 hole and a sight tube, pretty worthless, so I put a baffle in to make the oil drop out of suspension when it pass thru the can. all in all its worth it, since a name brand one cost close to 100 dollars.









heres the Mallory Return style regulator with boost reference. took me a while to find those fittings but ones i got them, it goes in easy.



its regulating my accel ~40 psi elec pump.

pump was 90 dollars.





I welded a return tube on the sender, works well, as I dont want to weld a fuel tank and risk exploadsion



works great but not without trouble, its not from the regulator or the pump but from the 50 year old sending unit, I didnt realize that it didnt have a rubber gasket/oring between the sender and the tank, when I fill it up, I have an exxon oil spill, well at lease it didnt catch on fire.

also some how the float was punchered, so I ordered a new sending unit w/plastic float gasket and locking ring from macs, will be fixing that when it arrives.





heres the turbocharges I am planning to use



the left one is a T4, i think this one is good up to 500HP, the right ones is T-Really big its about the size people use for 800+hp drag cars. both are garrett





i am going to use the small one. may be use the big one if the small one is not enugh.









Heres what i did to the new sender, I welded a tube on it.

just what i was thinkin.

Gotta hand it to you on all the turbo stuff. pretty ambitious.

yeah I know it looks bad, I'll wrap them in electrical type when i have time.





the hot stuff, like the manifold and exhaust piping in the engine bay will be warpped with header tape to reduce underhood temp.

Just wondering does the temp sender near the thurmostat housing give the correct temp on the motor?   Gerry

that one is a thermo switch for my electric fan.



I also have another temp sensor for an aftermarket temp gauge near there, and yes it does give correct reading , i verifly it with a infred temp gun.

The coolest water is at the water pump inlet - and the warmest water ought to be right where it exits the engine - through the thermostat right? 

We are just using water temperature as a way to judge engine temperature - it isn't "absolute". As water would travel through the jackets forward from the point where the sensor is located in my T-bird engine - my guess is, the temperature would actually rise.

Hi HoLun! Have you got any progress with your turbo things? We here in Finland have a new plan for the next turbo engine . 292, one big Rajay turbocharger, home made two piece intake with two 60 mm Mustang GT throttle bodys and a Megasquirt 8 point injection. Does that sound interesting ? The plans are inside of my head and I can't even sleep...almost!

fuel injected turbo 292, thats a very interesting idea, are you going to custom fab the intake manifold?

Yes. The plan is to make two separate intake runners and make a y-joint to separate intercooler hose to get the boost to both of them.That makes it easier to make the intake without problems to get it fit ok to the heads.
