My daughter is an investigator for the AL Drug Task Force, in 2002 she confiscated a 1995 F150 that had a 351 transplanted in place of the 300 6 cyl. Fast forward to Oct 2010, the Sheriff's dept auctions off the old 95 F150 and I bought it for $300. After replacing the dist cap and rotor today, I fired it off. The thing runs pretty good for a engine that has not turned over for over eight years. Don't know what I'll do with it yet, but just interesting that the old girl fired up and runs pretty good.

Well I screwed this post up from the start, its a 85 not a 95. The cab is eat up with rust and not worth saving, but the short stepside bed is in good shape which is really the only reason that I bought it in the first place. I may use it on a 64 slick that I have. I may try setting a 66 slick cab that I have on the frame just to see what it looks like. For the $300 that I paid for it, I can pull the 9" rear, engine and trans and scrap the rest and still get most of my money back. Pictures, not sure this one deserves a picture, but I found it very interesting that after setting up for 8 years here in the south, that with a little work it fired up and runs pretty doggone good.

Glen, just fired up a 390 in a T bird that was sitting for 19 years, runs tops. fired my brothers flathead that sat 25 years no problem and his 56 fairlane with a Y sat in a barn for 17 years and fired right up. my 59 P400 sat for over 10 years at least, fired right up.

The one thing I learned about fords, no matter how long they sat, if you can get them to turn they will fire up, you just may have to clean the points a couple times if they are too green.
