I have some 55 or 56 police interceptor valve cover stickers coming to put on the 292 for giggles and was wondering what is the difference between it and the non police motor, if there is some performance differences I might want to duplicate one with the 292 I will be building for my 55.

Not 100% sure, but I think the " Interceptor " decals were for the marine Y-Blocks. We (Fab 50's Ford Club of Manitoba) used them on our club vehicle.....a 56 Meteor police car. Everyone sees "interceptor" and thinks police. Check the link on this site's home page....there's a few pics of it under the project cars heading. (or here www.fabulous50sford.com ) Barry L

I guess I am also guilty of thinking the stickers were for a police motor, untill a couple years ago I knew nothing about the marine motor.
