Elgin supplies a lot of parts to OEM. All I have ever bought from them was made in USA and I considered their parts the best. However, I'm not sure if everything is made here any more. I have never been very much of a fan for Kantor stuff. I think its all from off shore.

I stay away from Kanter stuff. It is usually of minimal quality. I don't know if it is made off shore but suspect it is. I have used Elgin stuff; ignition parts, but I tend to stick with MSD, Motorcraft, etc.

I've noticed ball joints showing up on EBAY for less than half the normal price. I think someone has a new overseas source. I wonder how they will check out for material etc. Chuck in NH

61-64Tbirds sat dormant in the market for decades because of a lack of replacement ball joints. If I remember correctly, Kanter was the company to finally start offering them for sale, and they were made in China. Maybe Kanter has changed but I doubt it. I would never trust Chinese metal holding my car up off the pavement at 70MPH. I went through the mess of FOMOCO disc brake rotors that were out sourced to China along with exhaust manifold bolts (supposedly grade 8) in the nineties as a Ford Dealer tech. China seriously burned Ford. Just plain crappy metal; rotors would warp in a matter of 50 miles or so. Exhaust manifold bolts for 460 CI motors would twist off. JUNK!

I  think your going to get what you pay for. Cheap price, cheap part. Snooping around their ebay store site I see they have a warehouse in Larado. Maybe its the "good" stuff from Mexico.

I contacted the seller and he told me they are from "Asia". I have asked him some specific questions about quality of the materials but haven't heard back yet. Chuck in NH
