I think there are 5 freeze plugs -2 on each side and one in the back. Please tell me what size the freeze plugs on the side of the block. Where can I get them? Thank you. JIM:

When installing the cam plug in the back of the block, insure that it’s not installed so deeply that it prevents the camshaft from residing deep enough within the block.  The camshaft needs to sit behind the front face of the block to insure adequate camshaft freeplay when the cam thrust plate and the cam gear are properly installed.  Inadequate free play can lead to other problems.  If the 2 1/16” plug being used is not necessarily a cam plug but is a plug for something else and is deeper than necessary, then simply put it in a lathe and trim it down to a more appropriate size.
