I never had any luck finding a local chrome plater.  The nearest one was in Richmond.  I ended up using a plater near my parents in PA.  I don't recall the name off hand but they were in Jeanette.  Did really good work for a reasonable cost.  You might also want to contact White Post Restorations near Winchester VA.  I don't know if they do any plating but they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Ive always had good luck with pauls chrome plating in pa. Not sure how far from you? Ive been successfful sending via ups; they do a good job documenting your parts each step of the way to minimize risk of loss, etc.
