Has anyone had any luck modifying sbc headers to fit a 292 in a 54 ford using stock clutch linkage? The CC11 headers look like they may work with new flanges and some modifications... John

What are CC11 headers? Many of the scrub headers are easily changed over to the Y flanges as the outer tubes are a direct lineup and the center tubes just need to be pulled away slightly from each other. The problem with most headers for Y powered cars is maintaining clearance around the steering box and the clutch linkage.

Needs special tool for removing plugs and driver side still not fit quite right. I dont recommend those headers for a starting point. Flowtech got pretty horrible finishing too.
