Hi, Looking for resources to buy grade 5 3/8-16 bolts black oxide. I don't want to buy a kit for a specific engine size just looking for replacement bolts for the intake manifold and a few others. Local hardware stores don't have them so looking for suggestions. Thanks

It is odd you cant find grade 5 locally. Our small town of 32,000 has at least three hardware stores that carry 5's. Then 30 miles away in Medford, there are even more outlets.

If you have a TSC, Fastenal, or Atwoods store available locally, then any of these places will carry both grades in the various sizes.

Hi, The local hardware store carries grade 5 zinc plated bolts or cad plated bolts. I didn't think grade 5 black oxide bolts would be this challenging to locate. I guess I'll try online suppliers and see if I could purchase small quantities.

One of our large welding shops carries bins full of black oxide bolts. However I never checked for grades they had available.

I would definitely try these folks http://amkproducts.com/ ... I have, and was always pleased... except sometimes hard to come up with $30 minumum when you only need one particular clip, spring, or nic-nak. Cheers... Brian

McMaster-Carr has a website/online store. Just checked for your need and they have them at about $10 for a bag of 25. I purchase from them on occasion and they are quick to ship at a reasonable rate and the price seems fair.
